Turkey women's volleyball to face Canada in VNL quarter‑final in Macau
Turkey's women's national volleyball team, known as the Filenin Sultanları, will meet Canada in the quarter‑final of the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Nations League finals. The match is scheduled for 23 July 2026 at 11:00 TSİ and will be held at the Macau East Asian Games Dome in Macau, China.
Turkey qualified for the final stage after finishing fourth in the league with a 9‑3 record. A 15‑player roster was announced, featuring setters Cansu Özbay, Dilay Özdemir and Elif Şahin; outside hitters Defne Başyolcu and Melissa Vargas; attackers Hande Baladın, İlkin Aydın, Saliha Şahin and Yaprak Erkek; middle blockers Berka Buse Özden, Deniz Uyanık, Sinead Jack Kısal and Zehra Güneş; and liberos Eylül Akarçeşme Yatgın and Gizem Örge. A win will advance Turkey to the semi‑finals, while Canada is making its first appearance in a VNL final stage.
The quarter‑final will be broadcast live on TRT Spor in Turkey. The winner will face the victor of the China‑USA match later the same day for a place in the semi‑final.
