Turkey and China celebrate 55 years of diplomatic relations in Ankara

A reception was held in Ankara to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and China.

In a message sent to the event, Emine Erdoğan expressed her congratulations, noting that the deep historical ties and strong cooperation between the two ancient civilizations contribute to regional and global peace, stability, and prosperity.

During the ceremony, Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Ayşe Berris Ekinci highlighted the growing momentum in high-level contacts between the two nations. She noted that China rose to become Turkey’s largest trading partner last year and emphasized the importance of utilizing existing cooperation mechanisms, such as the Joint Security Cooperation Mechanism, to realize the full potential of bilateral relations.
