Turkey and Sudan discuss educational cooperation

Turkish National Education Minister Yusuf Tekin met with Sudanese Education Minister Tuhami El-Zain Hajar to discuss strengthening bilateral educational ties. The discussions focused on several key areas of cooperation, including vocational and technical training, teacher training, the reconstruction of digital infrastructure, and the establishment of Turkish language courses at the Sudan Language Center.

Minister Tekin expressed Turkey's readiness to share its expertise and support Sudan's educational development. He noted that both nations are working toward formalizing these relations through a memorandum of understanding. Additionally, Tekin highlighted Turkey's recent improvements in international assessments, such as PISA scores, as a model for educational progress.

Minister Hajar emphasized Sudan's interest in leveraging Turkey's experience in vocational education and digital technologies. The Sudanese delegation also expressed a desire for Sudanese teachers to receive training in Turkey via electronic platforms and to promote the teaching of the Turkish language within Sudan.
