Turkey and Syria hold joint Arabic language training program in Damascus
Students participating in a joint Arabic and character education camp organized by the Turkish Ministry of National Education and the Syrian Ministry of Endowments have received their certificates in Damascus. The ceremony took place at the Sheikh Hasan Bedrettin Hasaneyn Education Center.
Muhammet Musa Budak, the Education Counselor of the Damascus Embassy, noted that the program was designed to help students learn the language through daily life and social activities, rather than focusing solely on linguistic proficiency. He highlighted Damascus as a long-standing center of science and culture, noting that Arabic language education activities in Syria are revitalizing following a 15-year period of conflict.
Participants, including university students from Istanbul Medeniyet University and Kocaeli University, reported that the six-week program successfully combined theoretical instruction with practical application and cultural visits to historical sites.
