Turkey and Vietnam aim for 4 billion dollars in trade volume

Turkey’s Ambassador to Hanoi, Korhan Kemik, announced that trade volume between Turkey and Vietnam reached 3.4 billion dollars in 2025, with a target of 4 billion dollars.

To support this growth, a new Consulate General will be opened in Ho Chi Minh City. Ambassador Kemik noted that Turkish companies have seen success in infrastructure projects and that increased flight frequencies by Turkish Airlines are playing a significant role in boosting both tourism and economic ties.

Diplomatic relations have strengthened through high-level meetings, including discussions between Turkish and Vietnamese leaders during UN General Assembly sessions. The ambassador also highlighted the humanitarian dimension of the relationship, noting Vietnam’s first overseas search and rescue mission following the 2023 earthquakes in Turkey, and Turkey’s support during the Yagi typhoon in 2024.
