Turkey announces high-level appointments for YÖK and Cyber Security Presidency

Turkey has seen several high-level administrative appointments published in the Official Gazette. In the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Hasan Güçlü has been appointed as Chief of Staff. Güçlü, a long-time official within the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) and the Turkish Diyanet Foundation, has faced scrutiny regarding his past professional conduct and financial history.

Simultaneously, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed decrees regarding the Cyber Security Presidency. Key appointments include Halit Küçükünal and Yusuf Tancan as Vice Presidents. Other leadership roles were filled in the General Directorates of Management Services, Digital State, Cyber Defense, Ecosystem Development, and Legal Counsel. Additionally, Dr. Osman Gazi Güçlütürk has been appointed as the General Manager of Public Artificial Intelligence.
