Turkey announces major diplomatic and administrative appointments
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has signed a series of official appointment decrees published in the Official Gazette, affecting various diplomatic, academic, and administrative positions in Turkey.
In the diplomatic sector, several ambassadors and officials have been appointed to posts in Doha, Amman, Kuwait, Chisinau, Djibouti, Tallinn, Kinshasa, Tehran, and Gaborone. Notably, Erdal Sabri Ergen (Djibouti) and Tunca Özçuhadar (Montevideo) have been recalled to the center.
Administrative and academic changes include the appointment of Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy as the President of the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) and Engin Akyol as Vice President of the Social Security Institution. The decree also includes new leadership for the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), various ministries, and several universities, including Düzce, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım, Eskişehir Osmangazi, and Gebze Technical University.
