Turkey's Ministry of National Education announces Teachers' Day celebrations

The Turkish Ministry of National Education has issued a circular to all 81 provincial governorships regarding the upcoming November 24 Teachers' Day celebrations. Signed by Minister Yusuf Tekin, the directive outlines a wide range of activities intended to honor the profession and strengthen professional solidarity.

Celebrations will extend beyond central programs to include cultural, artistic, academic, and social events across the country and at foreign diplomatic missions. Key components of the program include visiting retired teachers and the families of martyred educators, holding memorial services at gravesites, and organizing oath ceremonies for teachers who have completed their candidacy period. Additionally, teachers retiring during the year will be presented with Certificates of Honor.

In a separate context, the Eğitim Sen union held an event in Adıyaman to mark World Teachers' Day, where officials emphasized the importance of professional rights, safe working environments, and the link between education and peace.
