Turkey announces new civil servant salary coefficients for July‑December 2026
Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek signed a decree setting the salary coefficients for Turkish public employees for the period 1 July – 31 December 2026. The new monthly coefficient is 1.575512, with a base amount of 25.794915 TL and a supplemental rate of 0.499649. The decree also fixes the fee for paid military service at 472,653.60 TL and establishes an additional allowance of 5,514.30 TL for evaders. Contract staff salary ceilings were raised to 86,231.60 TL (with a top ceiling of 76,873.55 TL) and base and ceiling rates increased by 13.52 %. The annual severance‑pay ceiling was set at 73,729.87 TL.
Separately, the public‑servant union Memur‑Sen released a salary table reflecting the expected July 2026 pay for millions of civil servants and retirees. It shows increases across all ranks, for example, a graduate civil servant's monthly salary rising from 12,760 TL in January to 68,975 TL in July, while teachers move from 69,775 TL to 79,186 TL. The table incorporates June’s inflation data of 0.99 % month‑on‑month and a 32.11 % annual rate.
