Turkey appoints new members to Supreme Court of Cassation and Council of State
The Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) announced the appointment of three officials to Turkey's highest courts in the Official Gazette. Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor Gökhan Karaköse was selected as a member of the Court of Cassation (Yargıtay).
Former Labor and Social Security Ministry Legal Services Director Şükran Doğan, along with Ankara Administrative Court President Gülten Hatipoğlu and Istanbul Regional Administrative Court President Recep Yılmaz Korkmaz, were appointed as members of the Council of State (Danıştay). The decisions were signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published on 11 June 2026.
