Turkey cabinet reshuffle rumors intensify amid BYD investment concerns
Speculation is growing regarding a potential cabinet revision in Turkey, with several ministers reportedly facing possible reshuffles.
According to political rumors, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır may be replaced by Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün. This potential change is reportedly linked to the suspension of a $1 billion investment project by Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD, which had previously committed to building a factory in Manisa.
Other potential changes include Murat Kurum, currently the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, who is rumored to move to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, a shift allegedly connected to the Kanal Istanbul project. Additionally, rumors suggest that Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak and Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat may also depart from their current roles. No official confirmation has been provided by government authorities regarding these claims.
