Turkey combats forest fires in Muğla, Diyarbakır and Kastamonu

Unexplained forest and agricultural fires broke out in Muğla's Hamursuz Tepesi, prompting the Muğla Forest Regional Directorate and the municipal fire department to launch aerial and ground extinguishing operations.

In the Çüngüş district of Diyarbakır, a brush fire near Çınarköy Mahallesi spread into forested area; 14 forest service personnel, bulldozers and fire trucks were deployed, with support from gendarmerie units and local residents.

Northern Turkey also saw a blaze at Hıdırlık Tepesi near Tosya in Kastamonu Province. The Tosya municipal fire brigade and the forest enterprise sent crews and arazöz vehicles, while the mayor confirmed that helicopters are on standby and no panic situation exists. Ongoing suppression efforts continue across all sites.
