Turkey condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia

Turkey has strongly condemned Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, expressing full support for Saudi sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that these actions disregard civilian lives and property, while undermining diplomatic efforts to reach a political solution in Yemen.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the attacks targeted civilian and economic sites in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran, resulting in 73 civilian injuries, including women and children. The Saudi Ministry of Energy reported that energy facilities in the southern region were also targeted, causing fires and a temporary suspension of some operational activities.

Saudi authorities noted that the Houthis continue to target commercial vessels in the Red Sea, threatening international maritime navigation. The Kingdom has affirmed its right to take necessary measures to defend its sovereignty and protect its citizens under international law.
