Turkey conducts agricultural safety and livestock training in Eskişehir and Afyonkarahisar
In Eskişehir, the provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry organized a certification course for 150 farmers on the proper use of plant protection products. The training, aligned with new regulations that take effect on 13 January 2026, covered correct dosages, application timing, personal protective equipment, environmental safeguards and record‑keeping to reduce pesticide misuse and ensure food safety.
In Afyonkarahisar, the same directorate held an education program for livestock breeders aimed at preventing calf losses. Participants received practical instruction on basic animal care, early disease detection, tick control and measures against Crimean‑Congo Hemorrhagic Fever, supported by a survey to assess needs. Both initiatives seek to improve agricultural practices, protect animal and human health, and ensure compliance with updated agricultural legislation.
