Turkey conducts KBRN disaster response trainings in Yozgat Hospital and Karaman

Yozgat City Hospital organized a KBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) training for health workers, covering threat sources, risk assessment, protective equipment, and response procedures. The sessions were led by emergency physicians Dr. Beyza Dişlitaş and Dr. Şeyda Dağ, who emphasized that such incidents can stem from warfare, industrial accidents, pandemics, technological failures or natural disasters.

Separately, AFAD held a large multi‑agency drill in Karaman, involving 299 personnel, 71 vehicles and participants from police, gendarmerie, health services, fire‑fighters, Red Crescent, municipalities and other bodies. Volunteer Kaan Mehrekula, who lost dozens of relatives in the 6 February earthquake, said, “Tatbikatta görev alırken o günkü acıyı yeniden içimizde hissettik, inşallah bir daha bu acılar yaşanmaz.” The exercise simulated search‑and‑rescue, fire response and KBRN scenarios, aiming to strengthen coordinated emergency capacity across Turkey.
