Turkey confirms operational readiness of S-400 systems

Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler has addressed parliamentary inquiries regarding the operational readiness and integration of the Russian-made S-400 air defense systems into the national military network.

Responding to questions from İYİ Party deputy Turhan Çömez, Güler stated that the Turkish Armed Forces are actively developing defense capabilities using both domestic and foreign-sourced weaponry. The minister emphasized that these systems, which include air defense and fighter aircraft, are being deployed based on field experience to ensure the military is “ready for war at any moment.”

The inquiry specifically sought clarification on whether the S-400 systems have been fully integrated into Turkey’s existing radar, early warning, command, and control networks, as well as the Turkish Air Force's air defense systems. Güler noted that while current resources are being utilized, defense capabilities are being further bolstered by rapidly developing products from the domestic defense industry.
