Turkey's fuel price volatility strains households late July (28 clusters)
Turkey cuts LPG prices by up to 93 kuruş per litre
Effective midnight on 3 July 2026, Turkey reduced the retail price of LPG (autogas) at petrol stations. The discount varies by source, with reports of an 80 kuruş cut and others of a 93 kuruş cut per litre. New listed prices include Istanbul (≈31.4‑31.9 TL per litre), Ankara (≈31.9 TL) and İzmir (≈31.8 TL).
The price move follows a recent decline in Brent crude prices, which lowered refinery costs and allowed the government to pass savings to consumers. Analysts note that the reduction follows a prior 55 kuruş cut in gasoline, indicating a continued downward trend in Turkey’s fuel market.
