Turkey refutes Greek claims of blocking its Meteor missile deal

The Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) issued a statement denying allegations that Greece has used diplomatic or covert actions to obstruct Turkey’s procurement of the Meteor missile and other defense equipment. DMM emphasized Turkey’s reliance on domestic production and smooth international supply agreements, describing the accusations as speculative misinformation.

Conversely, Greek media outlet Enikos reported that Greece’s Defence Ministry allegedly conducted secret diplomatic efforts to hinder Turkey’s planned Meteor missile acquisition, warning that Turkey’s Eurofighter jets could be left without suitable armament. The report referenced past French discussions on authorising the missile sale and suggested Greek diplomatic traffic aimed to disrupt Turkey’s defense plans.
