Turkey detains 104 suspects in coordinated anti-ISIS raids across 30 provinces

The Turkish Interior Ministry announced that simultaneous operations carried out by the Gendarmerie in 30 provinces resulted in the detention of 104 individuals suspected of links to the ISIS (Daesh) terrorist organization. The raids, organized by the Gendarmerie General Command’s Terrorism Combat Department in coordination with public prosecutors, targeted alleged financiers of the group, operatives using fake charitable organisations, and those spreading ISIS propaganda on social media. The suspects are accused of providing financial support, promoting the group online, and holding membership in the organization. Prosecutors have opened investigations into all detainees.

The operation covered provinces including Adana, Antalya, Istanbul, Gaziantep, and Van, among others, and was described by the ministry as a decisive strike against the financing and propaganda networks of ISIS in Turkey.
