Turkey detains 104 suspects in Islamic State crackdown

Turkish authorities have detained 104 suspects linked to the Islamic State (ISIS) following widespread operations across 30 provinces. The Ministry of Interior reported that the actions were coordinated by the Gendarmerie General Command's anti-terrorist unit and local prosecutors.

Locations involved in the raids included Istanbul, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Konya, Mardin, Samsun, Van, and Yalova. A primary focus of the investigation is the group's financing mechanisms. Authorities allege that funds were channeled through individuals connected to the organization and through entities masquerading as humanitarian aid foundations.

In addition to financing, suspects face allegations of spreading propaganda on social media and maintaining membership within the terrorist organization. Prosecutorial proceedings have been initiated against all detainees.
