Turkey distributes 7.7 billion lira in Home Care Assistance

Turkey's Ministry of Family and Social Services has completed the transfer of 7.7 billion lira in Home Care Assistance payments to eligible recipients for this month. Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that the funds have been deposited into the accounts of those receiving support.

Under the program, which has been active since 2006, approximately 490,000 citizens are currently benefiting from the assistance. The monthly payment amount is 15,775 lira per beneficiary, provided to those caring for fully dependent relatives at home.

Minister Göktaş emphasized that the primary goal of the social policy is to protect family integrity by allowing individuals with disabilities to receive care within their own social environments rather than in institutional settings.
