Turkey drives Gaza peace roadmap with Qatar, Egypt and Hamas

Turkish officials are reported to be steering a new Gaza peace roadmap that envisions a phased Israeli withdrawal, Hamas disarmament and the deployment of an international stabilization force. Middle‑East analyst Yoni Ben Menachem told Israel’s Channel 14 that Turkey and Qatar crafted the plan behind closed doors, aiming to align with former U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal and to pressure Israel through a Cairo meeting that also includes the United States and Egypt.

In a separate interview, Turkey’s intelligence chief, Hakan Kalın, met with Hamas political bureau chief Hayye. The discussion highlighted the second phase of the roadmap, Turkey’s humanitarian assistance, concerns over Israel’s continued settlement activity, and the need for the international community to halt Israeli attacks in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem. Both talks underscored Turkey, Qatar and Egypt’s joint effort to secure a lasting cease‑fire and a political solution for Gaza.
