Turkey Education Minister Yusuf Tekin champions national heritage and curriculum reform in Erzurum

Education Minister Prof. Dr. Yusuf Tekin visited Keles district in Bursa for the Büyük Erzurum Yayla Festival organized by the Bursa Erzurum Associations Federation. He praised Erzurum as the heart of the national struggle, emphasized the vital role of local civil‑society associations that bring together diverse political and professional groups, and thanked the federation’s president and other officials for the event.

Later in Erzurum, at the Teacher’s House, Tekin presented the “Turkey Century Education Model”, stating its aim is to nurture a generation proud of Turkey’s history and rooted in national and spiritual values. He outlined curriculum changes slated for 2024, noted increased education investment since 2003 that has improved class‑teacher ratios, and credited President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for supporting these reforms.
