Turkey expands 2026 social aid for families and students

The Nilüfer Municipality in Bursa announced a stationery assistance program for primary and secondary students from low‑income families. Eligible children must reside in Nilüfer, and applications – requiring student and household documents – are accepted until 21 August 2026.

The Ministry of Family and Social Services confirmed that its 2026 social‑aid scheme will continue to support low‑income Turkish families. Direct payments to mothers include a one‑time birth grant of 5,000 TL for the first child, a monthly 1,500 TL for the second child, and 5,000 TL monthly for the third and subsequent children. Additional measures cover conditional education and health cash transfers, support for widowed women, multiple‑birth assistance, and other social‑economic aid, with applications processed via e‑Devlet or local social‑aid offices.
