Turkey's B‑Reçete pesticide tracking system launches nationwide on July 1

Turkey's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that the B‑Reçete system for plant‑protection products will become operational on 1 July in all 81 provinces. The electronic prescription platform will record the prescription, sale and application of pesticides, limiting access to registered growers and ensuring that only the approved dosage is used on recorded fields. Minister İbrahim Yumaklı described the rollout as a "revolution" that will dismantle misuse of pesticides and improve food safety.

The system was piloted since 12 January in Mersin, Samsun, Ankara and Kırklareli and is now being expanded nationwide. To support implementation, the Erzincan Provincial Directorate conducted training for pesticide dealers on how to operate within the B‑Reçete framework. Officials emphasized tight monitoring, prevention of fraudulent gain, and continuous updates to maintain uninterrupted service.

The initiative aims to reduce health and environmental risks linked to excessive pesticide use, enhance traceability, and enforce compliance with scientific dosage standards across Turkey's agricultural sector.
