Turkey expands contract civil service hiring to include dietitians, psychologists and interview exams
The Turkish government amended legislation governing contract personnel, widening the list of eligible public‑sector titles. In addition to sports experts, the new rule adds dietitians, psychologists and social workers, allowing candidates to be selected via interview (mülakat) rather than solely through the KPSS exam. The change also permits up to three times as many applicants to be called for examinations.
Separately, the Youth and Sports Ministry announced a 2026 recruitment drive for 150 contract engineers across four specialties—electrical/electronic, civil, mechanical and cartography—following the updated hiring framework. Applications will be submitted through the e‑Government Career Portal between 22 and 26 June 2026, with placement based on KPSS P3 scores and interview performance where applicable.
