Turkey expands research scholarship programs for students and scientists

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources announced that the TENMAK Research Scholarship Program will increase its quota from 300 to 500 students and expand the number of supported fields from 28 to 38. The program targets students who rank among the top 10,000 in the national university entrance exam, offering a monthly stipend of 13,750 Turkish lira and academic mentorship in areas such as energy, nuclear technology, mining, rare‑earth elements and advanced materials.

The Ministry of Industry and Technology reported the results of the TÜBİTAK International Leader Researchers Program and the International Young Researchers Program. Seventy‑five projects, including 49 led by Turkish nationals, were selected to receive comprehensive support for conducting research in Turkey. The selected scholars have experience at leading institutions such as Harvard, Stanford and Oxford, and will receive living‑expense grants, health insurance, travel assistance and institutional support to strengthen Turkey’s scientific and R&D capacity.
