Turkey experiences two minor earthquakes in Adana and Antalya regions

On 9 June, Turkey recorded two separate seismic events. The first, reported by AFAD, struck the Feke district of Adana province with a magnitude of 3.9 at a depth of 13.88 km. The second quake occurred offshore in the Mediterranean, 191.22 km from Kaş in Antalya province, registering magnitude 4.0 at a depth of 8.28 km and was logged at 08:56:55 TSİ (coordinates 34.74861 N, 28.34194 E). Both tremors were felt lightly along the coast but caused no injuries, fatalities, or reported property damage.

Authorities from AFAD and the Kandilli Observatory provided the official data and advised the public that such shallow, low‑magnitude events are typical for the region’s active fault system.
