Turkey extinguishes fires at recycling plant in Eskişehir and solid waste facility in Edirne

Firefighters extinguished a blaze at a recycling plant in the Kanlıpınar neighbourhood of Eskişehir. The fire, whose cause is still under investigation, was put out after a prolonged effort by local fire crews. No injuries were reported.

In Edirne's Keşan district, a fire broke out at the plastic‑separation unit of the Güney Edirne Katı Atık Birliği solid waste disposal site. Rapid response by fire, gendarmerie and health teams prevented the flames from spreading to other sections of the plant. The incident caused significant material damage to the plastic unit but resulted in no casualties. Authorities are conducting technical investigations to determine the exact cause of both fires.
