Turkey female entrepreneur count reaches 1.23 million
Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that the number of female entrepreneurs in Turkey has reached 1,230,000. Speaking at the 'Rising Women: My Business, My Trace' program, held in collaboration with Halkbank, Göktaş noted that the proportion of female entrepreneurs has increased from 13.1% in 2002 to 18.2% in 2025.
The program aims to support women through training in areas such as branding, digitalization, e-commerce, financial and legal processes, and access to finance. Göktaş emphasized that empowering women in entrepreneurship is key to sustainable growth, increasing production, strengthening employment, and boosting local development.
