Turkey food safety updates and Tarım Kredi KOOP retail promotions
The Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has updated its list of fraudulent and unsafe food products, adding 53 new items as of September 24, 2026. Of these, 13 products were categorized as posing a direct risk to health. Notable findings include minced meat in Mersin containing meat from ungulates, adulterated honey in Burdur, and saffron containing foreign substances in Istanbul. Additionally, a slimming tea sold in Kağıthane was found to contain medicinal active ingredients.
In separate retail news, Tarım Kredi KOOP has released its promotional catalog for the period of September 24–30, 2026. The campaign offers discounts on various consumer goods for purchases of 25 TL or more, including honey, olive oil, Turkish coffee, cleaning supplies, and school stationery items.
