Turkey to raise LPG price by 2.45 TL as global oil and currency pressures mount

Sector sources report that the litre price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Turkey will increase by 2.45 TL, effective at 00:01 on 4 August 2026. The hike follows recent gasoline and diesel price rises – gasoline around 67 TL per litre and diesel about 81 TL in Istanbul – and a 3.70 TL increase in diesel last week.

The increase is attributed to volatility in global oil markets, a strengthening Turkish lira, and geopolitical tensions involving the United States, Iran, Yemen‑Saudi Arabia, and the Ukraine‑Russia conflict. Drivers using LPG will see the cost of filling a 40‑litre tank rise by roughly 98 TL and a 50‑litre tank by about 122 TL. Current city‑by‑city prices (as of 2 August 2026) list LPG at 31.19 TL in Istanbul (European side), 30.59 TL on the Asian side, 31.29 TL in Ankara and around 31 TL in Izmir.
