Turkey fuel prices rise as diesel exceeds 100 lira FAST-MOVING
Fuel prices in Turkey increased on November 1, 2026, following a scheduled update to the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV). The tax adjustment resulted in a price hike of 4.15 lira per liter for gasoline and 3.60 lira per liter for diesel (motorin).
The increase has pushed diesel prices above the 100 lira threshold in several major cities. In Istanbul, diesel prices rose to approximately 100.50 lira per liter, while in Ankara and Izmir, prices exceeded 101 lira. Gasoline prices also saw an uptick, reaching over 80 lira per liter in major metropolitan areas.
Industry experts note that these rising costs are expected to impact the transportation, logistics, and agricultural sectors, potentially leading to increased prices for consumer goods. While gasoline and diesel were directly affected by the ÖTV regulation, reports indicate that LPG prices were not included in this specific tax adjustment.
