Turkey funds major park renovations in Trabzon and Tekirdağ

The Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality is investing about 50 million Turkish lira to completely modernise Of Sahil Park. Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç and Governor Tahir Şahin inspected the work, which includes new walking paths, children’s playgrounds, sports fields and leisure areas, with completion slated for October.

In Tekirdağ, the Metropolitan Municipality opened the newly built Mevlana Mahallesi park in the Kapaklı district. The 1,320 m² site features playground equipment, two trampolines, an outdoor fitness zone, a football field, shaded seating and a green‑panel fence, alongside water‑saving landscaping. Both projects aim to provide safer, modern social spaces for local residents.
