Turkey Health Minister reports emergency service statistics

Turkish Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu has released updated data regarding the nation's emergency health services. Under the ‘Protecting, Developing, and Producing Health Model’, the country operates 3,633 Emergency Health Service Stations and approximately 6,300 land ambulances, providing services to over 7 million citizens annually.

Special emphasis was placed on the role of specialized transport in difficult geographic conditions. To date, air ambulances have provided services to 76,414 individuals, while sea ambulances have assisted 45,418 people, totaling 121,832 patients transported via these specialized methods. The fleet includes 17 air ambulances and 6 sea ambulances.

Technological advancements are being integrated to improve response times, including the Electronic Case System and the Smart Bracelet application for tracking patients in multi-injury incidents. Additionally, the inclusion of the domestic GÖKBEY helicopter into the ambulance fleet is expected to enhance operational capabilities.
