Turkey announces thousands of new TCDD and health sector hires

The Turkish government began the 2026 public‑sector recruitment cycle, with several ministries and state enterprises opening thousands of positions. The State Railways (TCDD) and its subsidiary TCDD Taşımacılık announced hiring for 297 unfilled posts nationwide, including conductor, technician and engineer roles, with applications accepted through the ÖSYM AİS system from 9‑16 July. Separate regional calls were released for Eskişehir (multiple rail‑crew and maintenance posts) and for Kayseri, where five permanent workers – four former prisoners or war‑injured personnel and one disabled worker – will be recruited.

The Ministry of Health disclosed plans to employ 26,673 new staff across hospitals, health centers and emergency units, the majority of which are doctor positions (22,983 specialists and 3,652 general physicians). In parallel, the Employment Agency (İŞKUR) posted vacancies for secretaries, patient‑registration officers and auxiliary office staff in hospitals. Additionally, 116 support‑personnel slots were opened by agencies such as the Social Security Institution, Transport and Infrastructure Ministry and the Meteorology General Directorate, primarily for high‑school graduates.

All applications are to be submitted electronically via the ÖSYM AİS portal, with specific eligibility criteria—including a 2024 KPSS score, Turkish citizenship and age limits—outlined in the respective vacancy notices.
