Turkey Highway Authority announces roadwork updates

The General Directorate of Highways has issued warnings to drivers regarding ongoing construction, maintenance, and repair works across various regions of Turkey. Drivers are advised to follow traffic signs and reduce speeds in affected areas.

Key locations experiencing traffic adjustments include:

• Osmangazi Bridge: Due to the “29 October Osman Gazi Republic Run,” lane transfers have been implemented on the Gebze-Orhangazi-İzmir Highway, resulting in two-way traffic flow in the opposite direction. • Çankırı-Ankara Road: Superstructure repairs are underway, closing the Çankırı direction and forcing two-way traffic through the remaining lanes. • Ankara-Konya Road: Construction has closed the Konya-Ankara direction between kilometers 28-31, while traffic between kilometers 36-41 is restricted to a single lane. • Niğde-Kayseri Road: Traffic is being managed in two directions through a section of the divided highway. • Çanakkale-Ezine-Ayvacık Road: Construction has closed the Çanakkale-Ezine direction, necessitating two-way travel from the other side.

Other areas with controlled or two-way traffic due to ongoing works include the Göksun-Elbistan road, Mecitözü-Amasya road, and the Seydişehir-Akseki road.
