Turkey highway maintenance causes multiple road closures

The General Directorate of Highways has announced various road maintenance, construction, and repair works across several regions in Turkey, leading to various traffic adjustments and closures.

On the TEM Motorway, the Istanbul-bound direction between the İzmit East and Dilovası junctions is closed due to superstructure repairs, with traffic being diverted to the D-100 highway. Additionally, lane reductions are expected on the Edirne West Junction-Gümüşova section of the TEM Motorway between 21:00 and 06:00.

Other notable disruptions include:

• Trabzon-Maçka road: Controlled single-lane traffic at the Yeni Maçka Tunnel for lighting and automation work. • Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Motorway: A 15-minute closure for both Konya-Istanbul and Istanbul-Konya directions due to controlled blasting. • İzmir Ring Road: Closure of the right and emergency lanes near the Kanal-2 Bridge for joint renewal. • İzmir Ring Road: Nighttime lane closures between Sanayi and Limontepe junctions for lighting pole replacement.

Additional works are ongoing on the Afyonkarahisar-Konya, Antalya-Isparta, Artvin-Erzurum, and Gaziantep-Kilis roads. Drivers are advised to follow traffic signs and proceed with caution in all construction zones.
