Turkey highway maintenance causes multiple road closures

The General Directorate of Highways has issued warnings to drivers regarding ongoing construction, maintenance, and repair works across various routes in Turkey. Drivers are advised to slow down and strictly follow traffic signs and markers.

Key disruptions include:

• 1915 Çanakkale Bridge route: Superstructure maintenance on the Malkara-Çanakkale-Savaştepe Motorway will continue until October 30. • İzmir-Aydın Motorway: Lane adjustments near the State Railways Bridge have closed the right and emergency lanes toward Söke, with traffic diverted to the left lane. • Ermenek-Mut road: Explosive-based construction work will cause a total closure between 10:00 and 16:00, diverting traffic via Ermenek-Bucakkışla-Karaman. • Ankara routes: Maintenance on the Ankara Ring Motorway and the Ankara-Niğde Motorway is causing controlled two-way traffic or lane closures. • Other notable areas: Construction is affecting routes in Aksaray-Ortaköy, Gerede-Kızılcahamam, Gaziantep-Nizip, Kırıkkale-Yozgat, Çorum-Ankara, Malatya-Kayseri, Denizli-Çavdır-Söğüt, Mersin-Çeşmeli, Çatalca-Büyükçekmece, Amasya-Turhal, Iğdır-Tuzluca, Dursunbey-Harmancık, and the Trabzon-Gümüşhane T4 Tunnel.
