Turkey to hire 1,050 contract civil servants across police and youth ministries
The Turkish Interior Ministry (Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü) announced a recruitment drive for 500 contract support personnel (hizmetli) to be placed in police units nationwide. Simultaneously, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Gençlik ve Spor Bakanlığı) opened applications for 550 contract staff—100 dietitians, 150 psychologists and 300 social workers—to serve in provincial directorates.
Applications for both schemes open on 20 July 2026 and close at midnight on 24 July 2026. Candidates must apply digitally via the e‑Devlet “Kariyer Kapısı” portal; in‑person or mailed submissions are not accepted. Eligibility requires a 2024 KPSS score of at least 60, age between 25 and 35 (as of 1 January 2026), and compliance with the relevant civil service law. The interior ministry accepts any high‑school graduate, while the youth ministry requires specific university degrees in nutrition, psychology or social work.
Selected applicants will undergo oral and/or practical examinations, with the final ranking based on the arithmetic average of the KPSS score and exam performance. The interior ministry’s positions will be distributed across 78 cities, whereas the youth ministry’s roles cover 81 provinces.
