Turkey holds 15 July commemoration and school principal farewell

In Kocaeli, the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality organized a ceremony at Bağçeşme Cemetery’s Martyrdom Chapel as part of the 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day preparations. Students from the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Anatolian Imam Hatip High School recited Yasin-i Şerif and offered prayers to honor the memory of the nation’s fallen martyrs.

In Nevşehir’s Ürgüp district, Selçuk Yalçın concluded an eight‑year tenure as principal of Ürgüp Tesan Science High School. A farewell program attended by teachers, students and staff featured speeches, a flower bouquet presentation and a group photograph, thanking Yalçın for his contributions to the school’s academic and social achievements.
