Turkey hosts international karate and judo tournaments in August 2026

Turkey will stage two major international martial‑arts competitions in August 2026. The 7th International Gemlik Karate Tournament will be held in Gemlik, Bursa Province, on 8–9 August at the Gemlik District Sports Hall, drawing karatekas from a range of countries and aiming to boost local sports tourism.

The 22nd International Black Sea Judo Championship opened in Samsun at the Mustafa Dağıstanlı Sports Hall, featuring 550 athletes from Turkish Black‑Sea provinces and five foreign nations – Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Chechnya and Iran. The event runs through early August, with junior and senior categories competing before a final on 6 August.
