Turkey has launched the B-Reçete Digital Tracking System, a mandatory initiative implemented across all 81 provinces as of July 1, 2026. Managed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the system provides end-to-end digital oversight of plant protection products, commonly known as pesticides.

The digital infrastructure allows for the real-time monitoring of pesticides through barcodes and electronic records. This covers the entire lifecycle of the products, including prescription, sale, and field application. By recording exactly where, how much, and for which crops pesticides are used, the system aims to prevent incorrect or excessive chemical application.

The primary objectives of the B-Reçete system are to promote sustainable agricultural ecosystems and ensure food safety. By minimizing chemical residues in agricultural products, the initiative seeks to provide consumers with safer and healthier food options while protecting both producers and the environment.
