Turkey implements new agricultural technology and infrastructure
Agricultural advancements are being implemented in Turkey through new infrastructure and digital technology. In Dodurga, a new seed cleaning facility has commenced operations to support local farmers. The facility features a selector machine with a capacity of 2.5 tons per hour, designed to clean and prepare seeds for rice, barley, wheat, lentils, and chickpeas by removing impurities and low-quality grains.
In Yalova, a partnership between the Yalova Chamber of Agriculture and TABİT is introducing the AgriGO. AI system to assist in the cultivation of high-value crops, including persimmons, kiwi, aronia, and ornamental plants. Accessible via WhatsApp, the AI system provides guidance on disease management, irrigation, fertilization, and meteorological risks by integrating satellite imagery and meteorological data to help increase crop yields and farmer income.
