Turkey distributes September birth assistance payments to families

Turkey's Ministry of Family and Social Services has completed the disbursement of birth assistance payments for September. Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that these payments have been transferred to mothers' accounts via Halkbank.

To date, the program has benefited 1,355,110 children, with a total of 27.6 billion TL distributed to 1,320,760 mothers. The assistance is structured based on the order of birth: a one-time payment of 5,000 TL for the first child, a monthly payment of 1,500 TL for the second child, and a monthly payment of 5,000 TL for the third and subsequent children. These regular monthly payments continue until the child reaches five years of age.

In the Erzurum province, the local Family and Social Services Directorate reported that 28,978,400 TL was paid out in August to support local family welfare. Applications for these social supports can be managed through the e-Devlet portal or the ‘İlk Öğretmenim Ailem’ mobile application.
