Turkey increases interest-free marriage loan support to 250,000 TL

The Family and Youth Fund in Turkey has increased its interest-free loan support for young couples from 150,000 TL to 250,000 TL. Originally piloted in earthquake-affected regions, the program has now been expanded nationwide.

The amount of credit provided depends on the age of the spouses. Couples where both partners are between 18 and 25 years old are eligible for the full 250,000 TL. If at least one spouse is between 26 and 29 years old, the support amount is 200,000 TL.

New regulations have also adjusted the eligibility criteria regarding income. The income limit for applicants has been raised from 2.3 times the minimum wage to 2.5 times the minimum wage over the last six months, allowing more working youth to qualify. Additionally, couples who have children during the repayment period may receive a grant covering 12 monthly installments.
