Turkey integrates health reports into e-Okul system
The Turkish Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Health have launched a joint digital integration to automate student absence tracking. Under the new system, electronic medical rest reports issued by family physicians and health institutions are transferred directly to the e-Okul Management Information System.
This digital transformation eliminates the requirement for parents to deliver physical paper reports to schools and removes the need for school administrations to request wet-signed documents. School administrators and authorized teachers can now view, verify, and approve student medical absences instantly through the e-Okul platform by searching for the student's school number.
The initiative aims to reduce bureaucratic workloads for teachers and school staff, minimize paper usage, and alleviate the burden on parents and Family Health Centers by removing the need for manual document transport.
