Turkey issues new presidential decrees and regulations

The Turkish Official Gazette has published several new presidential decrees and regulations covering diverse sectors. Key updates include changes to the import regime and new criteria for free or discounted public services.

In the realm of international obligations, updates were made to asset freeze lists concerning individuals and organizations identified by the United Nations Security Council. Academic cooperation has also been expanded through a regulation allowing Istanbul Technical University to establish academic units within Karabakh University in Azerbaijan.

Financial and environmental regulations were also addressed, including changes to the procedures for Treasury-supported interest loans for tradesmen and artisans via Halkbank, and the introduction of the Turkey Emission Trading System Regulation.
