Turkey Justice Ministry reports 720,580 people subject to legal action in FETÖ investigations

The Turkish Justice Ministry announced that, marking the 10‑year anniversary of the failed July 2016 coup, 720,580 individuals have been involved in judicial procedures related to the FETÖ/PDY terrorist organization. Of these, 127,102 have received conviction sentences and 124,861 have been acquitted. Decisions have been rendered for 636,744 people, while 83,836 remain under ongoing investigation or trial.

Control measures include 193,082 persons placed under judicial control and 33,837 subject to arrest warrants. A total of 10,484 defendants are presently held in correctional facilities, comprising judges, prosecutors, military officers, police and other professionals. The ministry emphasized that investigations and prosecutions are still ongoing for many cases.
