Turkey announces 2026-2027 student dormitory placement results

Turkey's Ministry of Youth and Sports (GSB) has announced the dormitory placement results for the 2026-2027 academic year. Minister Osman Aşkın Bak reported a record 90% placement rate in the first round, noting that the ministry's total bed capacity has grown to over 1 million across 867 dormitories. Students can check their placement status and registration requirements via the e-Devlet portal.

In addition to national housing updates, local government initiatives are providing educational support. Bodrum Municipality has launched a program providing stationery packages to 850 students and scholarships to 400 successful students, with a total budget of 4 million TL. Meanwhile, in Şanlıurfa, summer courses concluded with significant participation in sports, music, and science programs, and in Akçaabat, local officials met with amateur sports clubs to discuss infrastructure and youth development.
